The city attorney provides legal counsel and representation for the Torrance City Council, Mayor and other city departments only. The office defends the city in civil actions and is responsible for the prosecution of all misdemeanor crimes including traffic violations, violations of state law and city ordinances. It provides no direct services to the public.
