The school district administers nine elementary schools which provide academic instruction for children in kindergarten through grade six. The district offers special education classes and special tutorial services for children who need assistance with particular subjects. The gifted program provides an opportunity for children who are high achievers or gifted to participate in extended programs that are designed to meet their needs. The district also provides a summer school and a summer correspondence program.
