Independent Living Skills Instruction

The agency provides services for people with disabilities in a variety of vocational rehabilitation and case management services for adults age 18 and older who have intellectual or physical disabilities. Services include arts and crafts instruction, case/care management, disability related center based employment, exercise classes/groups, independent living skills instruction, self advocacy support, self help instruction, social skills training, and vocational rehabilitation. There are no geographic restrictions.
Services include a work activity program which provides paid work and training with classes in basic adult education. The agency also provides supported employment services which places clients with employers in the community with job coaching services.
The 'Round About Senior Services program includes arts and crafts instruction, exercise classes, social skills training, self-advocacy training and self-help training. In the 'Round About Senior Services program individuals age 50 and older with intellectual disabilities join in community activities with their non-disabled peers. The program encourages the development of independence and maintenance of physical, social and intellectual skills.
The Adult Development Center program is for more severely handicapped and intellectually disabled adults and provides work training, socialization, recreation, leisure, and independent living skills. Individual program planning is available through a case manager who assists participants to define their goals.
