The agency provides services for people with disabilities in Los Angeles County. Services include developmental assessment, educational therapy, individual counseling, psychological assessment, special education, and speech and language pathology. There are no geographic restrictions.
The Switzer Learning Center is a non-public special education school for 5th grade through 22 year old students with moderate to severe learning, social, emotional and behavioral challenges. Services provided include a variety of special education, psychological, speech and language and other remedial services for children, adolescents and adults who have dyslexia, autistic spectrum disorders, attention deficit, or other behavioral, social, emotional, or learning disabilities. The services for children include diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, and a special education day school.
The center operates a full day special education school for students who are in 4th grade through age 22, which provides individualized academic instruction; adaptive physical education; speech and language therapy; counseling; and educational therapy based on the child's need for an intensive nurturing and structured education environment. The Spectrum Program for middle and high school students with autistic spectrum disorders focuses on social, emotional, and relationship development and incorporates parent training.
