Elementary School Districts

The district administers comprehensive education services for children in kindergarten through grade 8 in the unincorporated county area between Whittier and Santa Fe Springs through three elementary schools (K through 6) and one intermediate school (grades 7 through 8). Special education is provided through the Whittier Area Cooperative. The district also offers an extensive Title 1 program for students who are not meeting grade-level goals, bilingual education in Spanish; a comprehensive drug, alcohol, and tobacco prevention program which includes counseling for children in grades 4 through 8; an after-school tutorial program and alternative learning center for youth in grades K through 8; and customary support services.
