Bereavement and Grief Counseling
Provider: SALVATION ARMY CORPS COMMUNITY CENTER - HOLLYWOOD
The program provides counseling services for people in the Hollywood area. Services include a friendly visiting program for hospital patients, and residents of convalescent and nursing homes; and pastoral counseling services for youth and adults. Visiting services are restricted to Hollywood.
Friendly visiting services are offered by the members of the League of Mercy. Members of the league visit and bring gifts to hospital patients, residents of convalescent and nursing homes, and people who are confined to their own homes within the Hollywood area.
Pastoral counseling may include relationships between parents and children, grief/bereavement and aging. The focus of pastoral counseling is spiritual. The center provides Bible study in Spanish.
