Extended Child Care

The program provides social and recreational activities for people who live, primarily, in the Hollywood area. Services include an after school program for children 6 to 13 years old and social and recreational activities. There are no geographic restrictions.

Social and recreational activities are offered through a number of groups for youth and adults. These groups include the Sunbeam Club for young women age 8 to 12, the Girl Guards for young women age 13 to 17, the Cub Scouts and Boys Scouts for young men age 8 to 18, the Young People's League for all teenagers, the Home League for women age 18 and older, and the Men's Fellowship group for men age 18 and older. The groups for youth participate in a variety of outings, camping trips, sports activities, and social gatherings. The groups for adults participate in a variety of social events, meetings with guest speakers, and recreational activities. During July and August, a number of summer camps are organized for youth through The Salvation Army's regional programs.
