Parent/Child Instruction
Provider: YMCA OF POMONA VALLEY - CHILD CARE OFFICE
The program provides child care services for people of all ages who live primarily in the Diamond Bar, Phillips Ranch and Walnut areas.
The agency provides a parent-participation preschool for children age 2.0 to 5 years, September through June. Parents are required to participate by working one day per month as a teacher's aide, helping with extra events, and assisting in the classroom.
During the school year, the agency offers supervised before and after-school care for children in kindergarten through grade six. A van picks children up at the schools in the Diamond Bar-Walnut area and transports them to the YMCA.
