Foster Parent/Family Recruitment

The center provides adoption and foster care services for people who live in Los Angeles County. Services include adoption evaluation/placement, foster parent/family recruitment and foster home placement. Age restrictions apply; there are no geographic restrictions.

Prospective adoptive and/or foster parents must be 21 years or older, in good health and be financially self-supporting. All applicants must pass a background check which includes fingerprinting, criminal record check, submission of relevant medical forms and verification that homes or apartments meet state regulations for the program. Staff will provide an intake and assessment and provide supervision and monitoring if approved.

The center also provides therapeutic foster care (TFC) a team-oriented foster care program for children with higher behavioral and/or emotional needs. Foster parents are given advanced training and ongoing support.
