Business Registration/Licensing

This is the administrative site for the City of Los Angeles. The city offices provide government services to businesses and residents of the City of Los Angeles. Services include business and economic development, business registration/licensing, construction development, election information, employment services, public safety awareness/information, recreation and tourism information, residential services, and smoking regulation.   Many online services are available, including forms for city building code enforcement complaints or requests, graffiti removal requests, permit/payment applications and information, Department of Water and Power (DWP) bids/RFPs, membership applications to city facilities, sewer complaints, street lighting maintenance requests and zoning violatons reporting. Information about most city services is also available on the website or by calling 3-1-1.

    Smoking regulations services are available to individuals who wish to complain about businesses violating the smoke-free workplace ordinance. Following a smoking regulation complaint a letter will be sent to the business owner, explaining the State Law. If a second complaint is received, a field investigation by a Los Angeles Fire Department Inspector will be initiated.
