Beverly ‘Bev’ Jones has over 30 years of experience in teaching and school administration. Her career began with a degree in History from UC Santa Barbara, followed by receiving a teaching and Special Education credential from San Jose State.
In 1980, Bev was hired by Temple City Unified as a Special Education teacher. She served as President of the teachers union for several years, where she gained expertise in handling administrative and union politics. This led Bev to taking on coordination of the district’s Special Education program, and returning to school for an Administrative credential. In 2001, Bev was selected to be the Assistant Superintendent Of Human Resources for Temple City Unified School District.
Bev’s experience as a union leader made her an invaluable addition to 211 LA’s Board of Directors. She continues to serve on the Board because of the respect she holds for the services 211 LA provides, and her enthusiasm to engage in an organization that is ever growing in services, technology and quality.
