Commodity Supplemental Food Program
Provider: LOS ANGELES COUNTY AGING AND DISABILITIES DEPARTMENT - SAN GABRIEL VALLEY SERVICE CENTER
The agency provides services for older adults in Los Angeles County. Services include case/care management, commodity supplemental food programs, ongoing emergency food assistance, recreational activities/sports and respite care. Age and eligibility restrictions apply for some services. Services are targeted to, but not limited to residents of the San Gabriel Valley.
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program is a USDA program offered through the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank. Food kits are offered once per month and may include meats, canned fruits and vegetables, dry milk and related products, and cereals and other grain products. Food kits are meant to last for 3 to 5 days.

Individuals who wish to participate in the Commodity Supplemental Food Program must go in person the first time and register with the L A Regional Foodbank, ID and proof of income are required. Once they are registered with the program, older adults may choose to have an authorized individual pick their food kit up for them.
