Transitional Housing/Shelter (Homeless Veterans)

The agency provides shelter services to veterans in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Services include transitional shelter/housing. There are no geographic restrictions.
Transitional shelter services are available for unemployed veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The services function as a residential welfare to work program with four areas of focus: employment; sobriety maintenance, relapse prevention, and securing stability in the home and work place.

Application Procedure
Appointments are preferred. Walk in, telephone or write to apply for services; walk in to receive service.
Individuals must be veterans in good standing, be eligible for Veterans Administration (VA) services, and must supply a DD214 (positive discharge from the US Military).
Individuals must also have a minimum 60 days sobriety if entering from a treatment facility, or 90 days sobriety if entering from the community.

Fees
There are no fees for services. Clients pay rent after they have an income.

Intake hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Shelter hours are Monday through Sunday, 24 hours per day.
