The department provides building safety services to individuals in Los Angeles County and throughout the state of California. Services include building permits targeted to mobile home park residents. There are no geographic restrictions.

Building permits services includes buidling permits and plan review for installation, alteration, modification, and repair of mobilehomes and manufactured homes.

The department also provides building permits and plan review for mobilehome park owners and for mobilehome owners making improvements on their lots (e.g., garages, porches) in those cities or counties where the enforcement agency is the Department.
