Early Head Start is a federally funded child development and family support program that provides early education, health, mental health, nutrition and social services for low-income pregnant women and families with children from birth to age three.

The Head Start program includes a combination of center-based services and a home visitor program that helps parents learn child development milestones and how to deal with the various stages of development. All children are assessed for their cognitive, developmental, and behavioral progress and needs.
