Occasional Emergency Food Assistance

The agency provides emergency food services to Gardena residents, including people who are homeless, undocumented or who receive public assistance. Services include formula/baby food, and occasional emergency food assistance. Services are restricted to Gardena residents in zip codes 90247, 90248, and 90249.
Emergency food consists of a three-day supply of canned and packaged groceries. The amount of food given varies with family size. Baby food, infant formula and powdered milk are usually available. People may apply for assistance three times per year with a 30 day period in between.
