FATHEAD CEO & 11-YEAR NFL VETERAN CHRIS HETHERINGTON AND HIS FAMILY LOST THEIR HOME IN THE FIRES EARLIER THIS MONTH, DRIVING HIS PERSONAL MOTIVATION TO HELP OTHERS IN NEED
Los Angeles, CA - Fathead has partnered with 211 LA, a local, LA-based, 501c3 non-profit organization providing recovery resources and information to families and individuals affected by the LA wildfires with critically needed support services, and aligned with the Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, and Los Angeles Lakers on an initiative to give back to families affected by the recent Southern California wildfires. Many have lost everything, and Fathead would like to support these affected kids by providing iconic Fathead items to help bring a bit of joy and happiness during this difficult time. Fathead will provide and distribute various sizes of their industry-leading decals featuring athletes from LA sports teams to displaced kids to display in temporary living spaces, as well as their future permanent homes. In addition, Fathead will donate a portion of proceeds from decal sales towards California wildfire relief initiatives.
This program is spearheaded by Fathead CEO and NFL veteran Chris Hetherington. Having lost his family’s home in the devastating wildfires, the idea of Fathead stepping in to help the LA community, and those who have lost everything has become devastatingly personal for Chris. “I see the impact on my own kids, and both the uncertainty and disruption it has brought to their lives, so I want Fathead to do our part to give those facing similar challenges something to smile about as we provide their favorite athlete & team decals for both temporary locations, and eventually their homes when they can once again be settled,” said Hetherington.
"At 211 LA, we understand the loss and disruption these wildfires have brought to so many families. We are honored to partner with Fathead and LA’s beloved sports teams to bring children comfort and joy during this difficult time. Beyond connecting families to vital recovery resources, this partnership is about letting LA wildfire survivors know they are not alone—we are here to support them as they heal and rebuild." –said Maribel Marin, Executive Director of 211 LA
Fathead has partnered with 211 LA to distribute their industry-leading decals, and further aligned with LA pro teams, including Chargers, Rams and Lakers. In addition to providing decals to kids affected by the wildfires, Fathead has also committed to dedicate a portion of proceeds from sales to wildfire relief efforts. In addition to this initiative, the Lakers are partnering with Fathead on two upcoming Lakers Youth Foundation events. The Lakers will provide fans with Lakers Fathead decals at their annual Youth Spring Picnic as well as the April 2nd Lakers All-Access event (celebrating its 20th anniversary).
