Early Childhood Education (ECE)

Program Overview

Early Childhood Education Care Coordination helps families with young children navigate early learning, developmental screenings, and supportive services during a critical stage of growth. In Los Angeles County, many families face barriers to accessing preschool, developmental assessments, and related supports. Through 211 LA, families receive guidance, referrals, and follow-up so children can access early education and intervention when it matters most.

How People Connect to the Service

• Families contact 2-1-1 or are referred by partners
• Care coordinators complete screenings and explain options
• Referrals are made to early education programs and Regional Centers, School districts and local social supports.
• Follow-up helps families complete enrollment and access services
