Child Abuse Prevention

The Office of Safeguard the Children provides child abuse prevention services within the Catholic Community of the Greater Los Angeles area. Services include information on Church programs to safeguard children in parish schools and in other church-related programs. The office distributes informational brochures in English and Spanish outlining the educational programs, parish training programs, and protocols in place to prevent and to report possible cases of child abuse.
The brochures are titled Working Together, a guideline for parishes; and Respecting the Boundaries, a guideline for pastoral ministers.
