2. Take Action

Get Involved. The history of voting rights often sheds a light on who is allowed to have agency and autonomy in their communities and who isn’t. Even today, several communities throughout the country are in a constant fight to ensure that they are given fair, secure, and safe pathways to exercising their right to vote.

Young people nationally have been involved in the conversation about lowering the voting age to allow younger people to vote for issues that matter in their communities. What do you think? You can learn more about these efforts through the National Youth Rights Association.

3. Healing + Resilience

Support others. Taking time to support others in your immediate circles and community can help to create a sense of connection and alleviate loneliness. With friends or family, that could look like lending a listening ear or helping someone with a chore. You can also gather a group of friends or family members to join efforts and support your community at L.A. Works.
