Psychiatric Disorder Counseling

The clinic provides outpatient mental health services for individuals in the Long Beach area who are severely and persistently mentally ill. Services include anger management classes, in-person crisis intervention, case management, medication monitoring, mental health evaluation and therapy, and social rehabilitative support services. Specialized services are available for youth through the Long Beach Child and Adolescent Program. There are no geographic restrictions.

Crisis services are available for people who are experiencing psychiatric emergencies and staff can evaluate clients for involuntary hospitalization; no mobile services are provided.

Services focus on the emotional stabilization of the client, and moving the client to appropriate maintenance services at the agency or in the community. The agency evaluates the client for potential hospitalization.
