Home Rehabilitation Services

This is the government office for the city of San Gabriel. Services include election information, city information lines, business licensing, building and occupancy inspections, home rehabilitation services, permits, city maintenance, planning and zoning, trash or bulky item trash pickup and illegal dumping reporting. Geographic restrictions apply for some services; business-related services are provided only for businesses located in San Gabriel.

The city provides building permits, electrical permits, elevator permits, mechanical permits and plumbing permits for any contracted work done within city limits.

City maintenance includes street maintenance, street construction/repair, street lighting maintenance and street cleaning.

Home rehabilitation services are available to low-income seniors, 62 years of age or older, and disabled people of all ages who live in the City of San Gabriel in a single-detached home, either owned or rented. Services are also available to low-income households who do not qualify by age or disability, but have a senior relative or disabled dependents living with them. Services are available to make minor home repairs to eliminate health and safety hazards that individuals cannot perform themselves. It is also available for purchase or installation of devices or modifications to prevent falls and accidents in support of independent living.

Athens Services provides residential and commercial trash, solid waste and recycling services. This includes residential curbside trash, recycling and yard waste collection, bulky item pickup and electronic waste pickup.
