Discounted Internet Service

Access by AT&T provides discounted internet service for low-income households with at least one resident who participates in the CalFRESH program and for California resident at least one member of the household receives Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits may also qualify based on the same requirements for CalFRESH participants. To qualify, the household must be within AT&T's service area and cannot have any outstanding debt for AT&T internet service within the last six months. Service availability and speed may vary by address; speeds available are 10Mbps, 5Mbps or 3Mbps. AT&T will assign the fastest speed tier available where the client lives. The program provides wireline home internet service only; however, an in-home wireless (Wi-Fi) gateway is included at no extra cost. Only one Access by At&T account is allowed per household. The program operates through April 2020; participants who qualify for the program after April 2019 may continue in the program for 12 months from the date of activation.
