This is the government office for the city of Bell Gardens. Services include election information, city information lines, business licensing, building and occupancy inspections, illegal dumping reporting, permits, city maintenance and planning and zoning. The city contracts with Athens Services to provide trash/garbage pick up and large item trash/garbage pick up. Geographic restrictions apply for some services; business-related services are provided only for businesses located in Bell Gardens.
The city provides building permits, electrical permits, elevator permits, mechanical permits and plumbing permits for any contracted work done within city limits.

Call or walk in for information, service or to apply for a business license.
To start a business an application must first be submitted to the planning department. Upon approval, a second application must be submitted and approved by the business license division. The applicant must also then pass various inspections depending on type of business.
