Congregate Meals/Nutrition Sites

The program provides nutrition programs for adults 60 years and older. Services include congregate meals/nutrition sites, and home delivered meals. Services are restricted to Gardena residents.
Congregate meals/nutrition site services can include transportation to and from the meal site. All meals are low-sodium.
The program also provides home-delivered meals to homebound, frail seniors 60 years and older. Hot meals are delivered on weekdays; meals and sandwiches for the weekend are delivered on Friday. This service is available to residents of Gardena 90247 and 90249, and to parts of 90248.

Application Procedure
Walk in for congregate meals. To request transportation, call the center 24 hours in advance. Call to apply for home delivered meals; a home visit is required as part of the intake procedure.
Fees
There is a a suggested donation of $3.75 for congregate meals and home delivered meals. No one is denied service due to inability to contribute.
