Mental Health Drop In Centers

The agency provides mental health services for people of all ages who live in Claremont, La Verne and Pomona. Services include adolescent/youth counseling, child abuse counseling, family counseling, general counseling services, general mental health education/information, juvenile delinquency prevention, a mental health drop in center, mental health evaluation, parent support groups, psychiatric case management and psychiatrict medication monitoring. Services are restricted to residents of Claremont, La Verne and Pomona. The agency does not provide services to any surrounding cities.

The youth and family services program includes individual conjoint, family, and group therapy, psychiatry, case management, and medication evaluation if necessary. The focus of the treatment may be on a variety of concerns and problems that range from marital difficulties, family communication, parent-child conflict, and adjustments of childhood or adolescence to child abuse including sexual abuse, depression and anxiety.

The mental health drop in center provides computer/internet access, suppport groups, social activities, and workshops for people with mental health issues. Staff at the site include peer advocates and counselors. Special groups are available for former foster children.
