Maternity Homes

Provider: MARY'S PATH

The agency provides a maternity group home for pregnant teens and at-risk teen mothers and their babies at confidential Orange County locations. Services include maternity homes. The program accepts girls, under the age of 18, and children from birth to age 24 months. Girls from at risk home situations may stay at the shelter until they reach legal adulthood at age 18. There are no geographic restrictions.

The home provides shared rooms equipped with bedding for mothers and babies. Three meals are provided and cooking and laundry facilities are available. Residents are required to assist with household chores, and are permitted to work outside the shelter. No smoking or drug/alcohol use is permitted. Adoption counseling is provided if the mother decides not to parent the baby. The program partners with medical facilities for ongoing prenatal care and a hospital for delivery of the child.

Support services include case management; educational services; parenting and mental health services, including individual and group counseling and life skills classes. Optional spiritual counseling is available and transportation to church services of the client's choice is provided.
