Blood Pressure Screening

The department administers a multipurpose center which provides recreational programs and human services for people of all ages. Services include congregate meals/nutrition sites, blood pressure screening, physical fitness, recreational activities/sports, dance instruction and summer food service program. Geographic restrictions apply to some services.
Services for older adults include easy exercise for seniors and people who have disabilities; dance instruction; recreational activities.
The center also offers a congregate meal five days per week for seniors age 60 and older provided by the Human Services Association (see the separate entry).
The city also provides a Youth Lunch program for youth under the age of 18 at all city parks during the summer months.

Fees
There are no fees for most services. The suggested donation for the congregate meal is $2.25; no one is refused assistance because of inability to pay. The cost for a guest is $4.50. There is no charge for the Youth lunch program.
