Alcohol Use Disorder Counseling

The agency provides counseling services for people of all ages who live, primarily, in the west San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and West Los Angeles areas; however, people from all areas may apply. Services include adolescent/youth counseling, alcohol use disorder counseling, anger management, bereavement counseling, divorce counseling, family counseling, general counseling services, general mental health information/education, individual counseling, marriage counseling, parent counseling, perinatal/postpartum depression counseling, sexuality counseling, sexual orientation counseling and counseling for LGBT individuals. There are no geographic restrictions.

  The agency offers individual, conjoint, family, and group counseling and the focus of counseling may be on a wide range of problems or concerns that arise in the course of daily living or that are precipitated by a specific crisis. This may include counseling related to bereavement, family communication, parent-child conflict, marital problems, divorce, adjustments of childhood or adolescence, relationship problems, stress, anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, anger management, parenting skills development and issues related to recovery.

  The agency will accept individuals and families who are referred by DCFS or the court system. The agency is not designated as a crisis intervention facility and is unable to provide services for severely emotionally disturbed people or people who are actively suicidal.
