The society regulates the activities and actions of its members. A peer review committee addresses complaints that are received about member dentists. The society also provides speakers who present information about oral health and offer printed educational materials. The society serves the greater Los Angeles area including Beverly Hills, Downey, Huntington Park, Lynwood, Maywood and South Gate; it does not serve the area west of Beverly Hills.
