Boys/Girls Clubs
Provider: WATTS - WILLOWBROOK BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS
The agency provides youth services for youth age 7 to 18 who live in Watts, Willowbrook and Compton areas. Services include boys/girls clubs, computer and related technology classes, physical fitness, prejob guidance, summer food service programs, and tutoring services. Services are restricted to the Watts, Willowbrook and Compton areas.
Recreational activities include table games, tennis, football, and summer camping programs; drawing, film and digital media and basketball classes are also available. The agency also offers trips and tours to historical and cultural sites.
The program includes daily tutorial assistance and development of responsibility and good citizenship. There is a computer lab for students who wish to learn computer skills. The agency also provides vocational guidance including career counseling and assistance in the identification of employment opportunities; a college bound program; and sponsors a summer lunch program.
