Disability Related Transportation
Provider: CITY OF LAKEWOOD RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES - BURNS COMMUNITY CENTER
The program provides transportation services for residents of Lakewood age 60 and older or Lakewood residents of any age who have disabilities and who do not have private transportation are eligible for service. Services include disability related transportation and senior ride programs. Services are restricted to Lakewood residents.
The DASH program is operated by the city of Lakewood and is a free demand-response program. DASH operates within the city of Lakewood only. DASH also provides transportation to the community center for activities for seniors in need.
Dial-A-Lift is a van service which provides rides for individuals age 18 and older with permanent disabilities in the cities of Lakewood, Long Beach, and Signal Hill only. Individuals must be registered for services.
