Volunteer Opportunities
Provider: ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION
The foundation provides health services related to arthritis, Lupus Erythematosus, and related diseases for people of all ages in Los Angeles. Services include aquatic therapy, disease/disability information, physician referrals, speakers/speakers bureau, voluntary health organizations, and volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.
The program provides referrals to physicians who specialize in treating arthritis and related diseases.
Arthritis Foundation Exercise/Aquatics/Walking Programs are offered using gentle activities to help increase joint flexibility and range of motion and to maintain muscle strength.
The foundation maintains a speakers bureau. Health care professionals and trained paraprofessionals meet with community groups to offer current information about arthritis and related diseases.
Volunteer and leadership opportunities are available; training is provided.
