Dental Associations

This is a statewide professional association for dentists that provides various services for its members. The association sets and enforces standards and ethics for dental practices; standards are established in coordination with the national association and local dental societies. It also publishes printed materials for members as well as professional journals and newsletters. People may call to determine whether a specific dentist is a member; referrals to member dentists are usually made through local societies.

Services for association members include continuing education, legislative and lobbying efforts relating to dentistry, dental library access, evaluation of dental products, patient referrals, conferences and training programs, liability insurance and public relations/marketing services.
