Food Rescue Programs

The agency is available to assist with the coordination of a food rescue program. The agency's food rescue program is called Extra Helpings. Food rescue programs collect unused portions of prepared foods or perishable foods from restaurants, cafeterias, corporate food services, caterers, grocery stores, and special events. The food bank acts as a coordinating organization in the community to provide surplus and purchased food to people in Los Angeles County. The food bank does not provide direct services to individuals. There are no geographic restrictions.
