Recreational Activities/Sports

The center provides a wide range of services for older adults, age 50 and older, who live in the West Los Angeles area. Services include congregate meals for seniors, age 60 and older; specialized information and referral; recreational activities; outreach and friendly visits for people who are unable to leave their homes, HICAP counseling, by appointment; and transportation for frail/handicapped seniors, age 60 and older, to shopping, medical appointments and to Day Care. There are geographic restrictions for some services.

The center offers congregate meals five days a week; referrals to home-delivered meals for those unable to come to the center are also available. Recreation and social activities, tours, trips and other activities such as line dancing, jazzercise, Tai Chi and pinocle group are also available on a regular basis; weekend activities include line dancing and scrabble. Other services include AARP Safe Driving course, income tax assistance, legal consultations, case management for seniors aged 60 and older, Cityride applications, RSVP and senior club activities.
