Family Counseling (Asian Community)
Provider: ASIAN AMERICAN DRUG ABUSE PROGRAM - YOUTH AND FAMILY PROGRAMS
The agency provides youth services for individuals, ages 5 to 20, who live in Los Angeles county. Services include case/care management for at risk families; family support centers/outreach; family counseling; juvenile delinquency prevention; parenting skills classes; recreational activities/sports; tutoring services; and youth development activities and groups. There are geographic and age restrictions for some programs.
The Community Prevention Program provides youth leadership and advocacy training, and drug free activities and social events. The program provides a special youth development program for young people in the South Bay area of Los Angeles county focus on substance abuse prevention, intervention and treatment.
The Indochinese Youth & Community Center (IYCC) provides services targeted to Asian/Pacific Islander Youth. Programs are culturally relevant and language appropriate for immigrant youth and their families. Services include community education, employment assistance, and social and recreational activities. Services for families include individual, group and family counseling; parenting skills development and social activities.
The community-based service providers within the collaborative provide the prevention component of the program. The agencies provide after school activities, community activities and beautification programs, and work with parents, youth and other concerned residents to maintain safe and peaceful neighborhoods. APPLICATION Call for information about programs, or to schedule an intake appointment. FEES/ PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for service.
