The agency provides legal services to individuals in Los Angeles County. Services include general legal aid for low income individuals, landlord/tenant assistance, bankruptcy assistance, welfare rights assistance, criminal record expungement assistance, employment law, family law, immigration law, mediation services, will preparation assistance and small claims assistance. There are no geographic restrictions.

The agency provides services through monthly legal clinics throughout the Los Angeles County area and in-office appointments. The agency provides legal advice only (no in-court or litigation representation). If the agency can not address a specific legal issue the agency will refer individuals to the appropriate agency.

The agency does not provide ongoing representation. If CLA-LA cannot address a specific legal issue, individuals will be referred to the appropriate agency.
