Talklines/Warmlines (Pregnant Women)

Provider: PREGNANCY HELP CENTER

The program provides family planning services for people in Los Angeles County. Services include pregnancy testing, sexually transmitted disease screening for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, limited obstetric ultrasound exam, and specialized information and referral and education for pregnant women. There are no geographic restrictions.

The individual meets with a client advocate to determine needs.

The program provides a pregnancy test that provides results in a matter of minutes. A consultation is provided before the test. After the test, there are a few secondary services provided, including prenatal nutrition information and printed materials on a variety of pregnancy-related topics. An ultrasound exam may also be offered.

Specialized information and referral is available for counseling, adoption, support groups, housing, doctors and other necessary services. The program also provides a 24 hour helpline.
