Student Loans
Provider: UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION - FEDERAL STUDENT AID INFORMATION CENTER
The agency provides education services for individuals in Los Angeles County and throughout the United States. Services include student financial aid and student loans. There are no geographic restrictions.
Services include financial assistance programs for postsecondary undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled as regular students in programs of study that lead to a degree or certificate at schools that participate in the programs. The assistance is in the form of grants and loans; the grants do not have to be repaid and most of the loans are low-interest.
In most instances, students must be attending school at least half time, document financial need, be United States citizens or eligible non-citizens, agree to use the funds for education purposes, not be in default on similar loans, and must register with the Selective Service if required to.
