Work Clothing Donation Programs
Provider: CLOTHES THE DEAL
The agency provides donor services for individuals in Los Angeles and Orange Counters. Services include work clothing donation programs. There are no geographic restrictions.
The program accepts and distributes donations of used business clothing to employment assistance programs. The program does not provide clothing directly to clients.
The program accepts and solicits donations of business clothing, shoes and accessories for low-income men, women and at-risk youth who are involved in job preparation or training programs with an employment services provider.
There are three ways to obtain clothing from Clothes the Deal: One, pay directly to Clothes The Deal for clothes; two, grants (there is a possible waiting list); and three, sponsored from other employment agencies, organization or donor.
All clients that receive business attire from Clothes The Deal must meet at least two out of the three requirements: One, the client must earn below the Federal Health and Human Services poverty guidelines; two, be currently unemployed; and three, be enrolled in an employment program, vocational training or educational institution.
Guidelines for donating clothes: -Clothes must be on hangers, clean, pressed and ready to wear -Clothing must be in good condition and be able to be passed on without cleaning or mending
