Senior Ride Programs

The agency provides transportation services for senior citizens age 60 and older and people of any age who have physical disabilities. Services include disability related transportation, medical appointments transportation and senior ride programs. Services are restricted to the unincorporated areas of East Los Angeles and City Terrace.

The program provides curb to curb services for seniors and people who have mental disabilities which clearly interfere with their ability to use public transportation and who are accompanied by an escort.

On weekdays, transportation is available for any purpose, including medical appointments, shopping, personal business, and social engagements. The program utilizes seven vans which are ramp accessible, and supplements service capability with cabs when demand is heavy.

The program routinely picks up and delivers passengers in the area which is, roughly, bordered on the north by the San Bernardino Freeway, on the south by the Santa Ana Freeway, on the east by Garfield Ave., and on the west by Indiana St. Passengers who use the service for medical purposes may request service to and from medical facilities which are up to three miles outside of those boundaries, including Los Angeles County USC Medical Center and White Memorial Hospital.
