Vocational Rehabilitation
Provider: LOS ANGELES UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT - WEST VALLEY OCCUPATIONAL CENTER
The program provides job training programs for people who live in Los Angeles County. Services include classroom training and work experience programs for adolescents, age 16 and above, and for adults. There are no geographic restrictions.
Classroom training is available for adolescents and adults in such occupational areas as accounting, air conditioning, apparel design, culinary arts, child care, computers, construction worker, cosmetology, electronics, landscaping, medical office, nursing (CNA, HHA), pharmacy tech, and real estate. The length of the program varies with the class curriculum chosen and may extend from 100 to 1600 hours.

Application Procedure
People may call or walk in for information. Enroll in person. An orientation session is scheduled for clients which includes assessment and intake procedures for certain programs.
Fees
There are fixed fees. Individuals with a disabilities up to age 22; adults, age 62 and older, and high school students are exempt from some fees.
