Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers (Homeless Veterans)
Provider: ST. JOSEPH CENTER - VETERANS REPRESENTATIVE PAYEE PROGRAM
The agency provides services for veterans in the west area of Los Angeles, including the cities of Culver City, Inglewood, Mar Vista, Palms, Santa Monica, and Venice. Services include case/care management for veterans, including people who have dual diagnosis for mental health problems and substance abuse problems; and Veterans Representative Payee services. There are no geographic restrictions.
Care/care management services include housing search assistance.
The Representative Payee program includes management of payments from SSI and from VA Benefits.
Section 8 housing choice vouchers are provided for veterans who can prove that they have been mostly or completely homeless for at least one year.

Application Procedure
Call to apply. Most veterans are referred from the Veterans Administration; however, referrals from social service agencies and self-referrals are accepted.
