The agency provides consular services and is the representative office for the country of Cuba in the United States. There are no geographic restrictions.

The Interests Sections develops and protects the interests of Cuba and looks after the welfare of Cuban citizens who may be traveling or residing in the United States. It may provide donor services by accepting monetary or other donations in response to a natural disaster. It also provides opportunities in business, investment, employment and tourism in Cuba.

The Consulate renders consular services related to visas, passports, authentications of documents, etc. These services are offered to the Cubans residing in the United States.
