The program provides family support services for parents of children with disabilities, age 3 to 22 in Kern County. Services include certificate/forms assistance, family support centers, parent to parent networking, parenting materials, trainings and disability specific information and referral. Geographic restrictions apply.
The Family Empowerment Center provides parent to parent emotional support, support groups and parent education workshops on many topics.
The agency also presents seminars and workshops focused on preparing families to help their special needs children on a variety of topics.
