Crime Reporting

Provider: CRIME STOPPERS - LOS ANGELES REGIONAL

The program provides law enforcement services for Los Angeles county. Services include crime reporting. The agency works in partnership with the community, the media and law enforcement to prevent and solve crime and create a safer community. There are no geographic restrictions.

The program operates a hotline, website and a mobile application for anonymous crime reporting. The program guarantees reporter anonymity; no personal information, phone number, email, IP address or location is ever requested, saved, traced, tracked or monitored. Reporters are identifed only by a case number and code which can be used again to give additional information about the crime, or to find out if a reward will be offered.

Rewards up to $1,000 may be given up on the arrest and conviction of an offender; confidential reward drops can be arranged. The agency partners with Kinecta Federal Credit Union in the Los Angeles area and Cash it Quick in the Antelope Valley area, to allow approved tipsters to anonymously collect rewards.
