Child Guidance

The agency provides counseling services for children, adolescents, adults and older adults from all areas of greater Los Angeles who are having personal or family-related problems. Services include individual, conjoint, family and group therapy, general counseling, adolescent/youth counseling, child guidance, family counseling, geriatric counseling, parent counseling and marriage counseling. There are no geographic restrictions.

Assessment services are available for children and adults. The agency does not provide crisis services, emergency, walk- in services or court-mandated services.

Counseling for children, adolescents and their families may include concerns of getting in trouble in school; anger, anxiety and other emotional issues; self-esteem; family problems; sibling rivalry; eating and sleeping problems; and difficulty adjusting to school.

Counseling for adults may be individual or in a group setting and may include concerns of anxiety disorders (OCD, PTSD, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder); depression; and difficulty with interpersonal relationships or emotions are out of control.

Counseling for older adults may include concerns of depression, anxiety, bereavement, memory loss and changes in relationships. Counseling may include group therapy. The program also provides support groups for families and caregivers of older adults.
