Election Volunteer Opportunities

The agency provides volunteer opportunities to residents of Los Angeles County. Volunteer Opportunites include election volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.

Volunteer needs include pollworkers, inspectors and general administrators. Volunteers set up, maintain, and close down polling places on election day/night. Duties include setting up election booths, issuing election ballots, checking election rosters, securing election ballots and reconciling ballots, spoiled ballots and absentee ballots to election rosters.

Volunteers must participate in a 2 hour training class which covers all aspects of the volunteers election duties. LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH The agency accepts volunteers who speak any language.

Application Procedure
Call or apply online. Volunteers must have a CDL or CAID card, be a U.S. citizen, a registered voter, a resident of Los Angeles County, and be at least 18 years of age.
Fees
There are no fees. The agency may provide a stipend to pollworker volunteers of between $100 and $150, plus an additional $40 for attending training.
