Temporary Restraining Orders (Low Income, Abused Women)

Provider: NEIGHBORHOOD LEGAL SERVICES OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY - POMONA SELF-HELP LEGAL ACCESS CENTER

The program provides domestic violence services to low-income people who live in the Antelope, Pomona, Chatsworth, San Gabriel and Santa Clarita Valleys. Services include crime victim support in obtaining TRO's for victims/survivors of domestic violence. Eligibility for legal services may require participants to receive CalWORKs.

Family law services are provided for victims/suvivors of domestic violence who are seeking orders of protection (Domestic Violence Restraining Order) or have a family law case with issues in dissolution or paternity cases.

Application Procedure
Applicants can call the general hotline, submit an online application on the agency's website, or visit an office location to be screened for services. A legal advocate will follow up with the applicants that meet eligibility criteria. Referrals are provided for services the agency does not provide directly.

Monday through Thursday, 8:30am to 12:00pm and 1:30pm to 4:30pm; Friday, 8:30am to 12:00pm. Walk in only. Clients arriving late in the day may be asked to return on another day, depending on the amount of time needed to address their situation.
